About Nathan
Who is Nathan, and why it matters
Nathan Brooks writes our sleep and wellness guides. He reads the research on how pillow height, firmness and support affect neck and spine alignment, then turns it into advice you can use tonight.
He checks that research against what our testers actually feel, so recommendations hold up for months of nights, not just one. His focus is helping people with neck pain and poor sleep posture find a pillow that works with their body.
Areas of expertise
I start with the studies, then I lie on the pillows our testers rate highest and check my alignment in a side photo. If the research and the real night disagree, I say so.

Every health claim links to a peer-reviewed study or clinical guidance.
Never a diagnosis; readers with ongoing pain are pointed to a clinician.
